We're covering EV․app 1.3.24 and 1.3.25 in one post, because both releases are mostly bug fixes and small performance improvements. The app now remembers the battery level for each of your cars, we've fine-tuned the BEST.match algorithm, and charging in an underground car park is no longer a problem. Here's what changed, and what it means for you at the charger.
If you use more than one car in the app, each one now has its own battery level. When you switch cars, range and charger recommendations work from the battery level of the car you've selected.
That matters if, say, you drive the company car on weekdays and the family car at the weekend. One car's battery level no longer gets mixed into the other's planning.
BEST.match uses your car's specs, your battery level, availability, charging speed and cost to pick the charger that suits you best. From version 1.3.25, its recommendations come from the chargers you can actually see on the map, which makes it even more reliable.
Tap an EV․app notification and the app opens right on the Activity tab. No hunting around for your session details.
When your phone lost its location, for example in an underground car park or with location services off, the charger card in EV․app could get stuck on “Go”. We fixed that in 1.3.24. In the same version, we also fixed the app using your location in the background when it didn't need to.
These updates make everyday charging smoother. Meanwhile, behind the scenes, we're working on something much bigger.
That's all we're saying for now. Keep the app updated and watch your notifications.
Open the App Store or Google Play and tap Update. That's it.
If you use EV․app and have half a minute, a Google Play or App Store review helps us a lot. It tells us what's working and what still needs polishing.
Happy charging!
